Korean Feng Shui Essentials

Korean Feng Shui Essentials offers general and high-level explanations on the principles of Pungsu-jiri and the importance of balancing environments with yin-yang and the five elements. Our information is meant to provide an understanding of key concepts such as the Baekdu-daegan and optimal site selection, but it should not be considered as a substitute for professional advice on specific Feng Shui needs.

Pungsu-jiri - the basics

Pungsu-jiri, or Korean Feng Shui, is a geomancy system emphasizing harmony with nature and the flow of energy. The principles are defined according to the specific needs and nature of each environment. For example, a residential space will have different Feng Shui considerations compared to a commercial space. Pungsu-jiri provides the ability to align spaces with optimal energy flow and balance, but this may differ based on the unique characteristics of each location.

Essential elements of Pungsu-jiri

The practice of Pungsu-jiri often addresses these key elements: Site selection based on mountain energy and water flow; harmonizing indoor and outdoor spaces; the significance of yin-yang and the five elements in design and placement; the role of furniture and decor in influencing energy flow; consideration of the building's orientation; and much more. To learn more about this, check out our workshop on 'Mastering the Essentials of Korean Feng Shui'.
